The Vor-Tx® Rifle line with X Bullets also delivers weight retention. It simply means that while changing shape, the bullet holds together as one piece and does not fragment. By retaining its bullet weight, penetration and energy delivery are enhanced.

Additionally, Barnes manufactures their barnes® vor-tx™ rifle ammunition in .300 AAC Blackout loaded with a 110gr TAC-TX FB or a 120gr TAC-TX BT bullet and in .338 Lapua with their 280gr LRX BT bullet. All other chamberings in the VOR-TX line use the TTSX boat tail bullet.

Took this ammo to the range to test fire my new Glock 20. Had no ftf\’s and the ammo was accurate. What was interesting was, I had been shooting some other ammo and when I switched to this the Range instructor (who didn\’t know I had switched ammo) asked me \”was that different ammo because it sounded much hotter\”? I was that noticeable. This stuff is awesome I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I\’ve only shot one box through my stock Gen 4 Glock 20 so far, but liked it enough to order more as my woods carry load. Ran simple penetration comparison test with Sig and Underwood Range Supply FMJ shooting through 2×4\’s, and the Xtreme Penetrator outperformed both. Reliability was 100%, and the bullet profile seems to be exactly the same as 10mm Hornady XTP, which has a very good feed reliability record.

Averaging around 1600 FPS with this ammo in my Glock 40, which translates to around 800 ft/lbs of energy. The recoil is noticeably lighter than Magtech\’s 180-grain FMJ. Just a friendly reminder: ballistic gel doesn\’t simulate ribs and sternum. I\’m switching all calibers to Underwood Lehigh Xtreme ammo.

I have used this ammunition in my glock model 40, to successfully harvest 2 black bears, and finish off a couple others. I am very pleased with the results, great penatraition and holds shape even when going through bone like skulls.
