The Brennecke classic magnum 12-gauge bullet was developed by German arms and ammunition designer Wilhelm Brenneke (1865-1951) in 1898. I tried these out in my Rock Island Armory VR80 magazine fed 12 gauge shotgun. They cycle through the 5 round magazines but are not reliable in the 9 or 19 round mags. Pretty decent price.

Tested this ammo against Hornady TAP (FYI uses the same was as the flight control wad under a different name \”tight wad\”) and lots of gray box 00, #1 buck winchester buckshot out of my mossberg 590a1. Conclusion: Tightest group out of the samples at 1.5\”! Hornady tap was a close second at 2.5\”. Your mileage may vary but the lower recoil is nice and more than enough power, less over penetration for home defense and easier for follow up shots. Funny point: it was also the only load where the wad punched clean through the cardboard!

My belgium auto 5 with 20\”barrell and 8 round extended mag just love\’s this stuff! Very light recoil- like shooting a rifle! I do my own ballistics testing at my home range and this ammo packs a mean punch for low recoil.I stacked an old car hood in front of a steel door and let her rip! Punched holes big enough to stick my thumb in and went through both the hood,door, and cut down 2 and 3\”maple saplings on the way out!! It was jaw dropping for me! My \’39 Browning cycles this ammo perfectly no shoulder pain whatsoever after an hour of rapid fire fun!!(try doing this at the local range…!!!)anyway,this is my new self-defense ammo and will be stocking up! Low recoil slugs are a pleasure to shoot especially if shooting high volume. Regular slugs really start to push back on your shoulder after 10 rounds but with the Fiocchi you can go through 30 -40 rounds without a problem.

Buying up a bunch of these for my Saiga 12. Recoil reduction is definitely noticeable compared to heavy loads. Make sure if you\’re shooting these out of a Saiga to set the gas setting to low #2 or they won\’t eject. Very fun target round you can shoot all day. No feed problems and very accurate. Will buy more.

This is the factory load I choose for trap and the load I attempt to duplicate with my reloads. It is absolutely top notch anywhere from 16 yards back to 24 yards, (the farthest back I\’ve shot) and probably good all the way back to the 27 yard line. I have more confidence in this load than in the lighter dram loadings like 2 3/4 that are listed as light target loads.

Patterned gun from 10-50yds with Carlsons blackcloud mid-range choke and pellets stayed tight as advertised. Had a chance to shoot a coyote broadside at 80yds. Flattened him and pattern was only slightly larger than the animal. Very impressed.
