Federal Premium 3rd Degree Turkey Ammunition

Federal Premium 3rd Degree turkey ammunition features a unique blend of shots for 3 degrees of gobbler slaying perfection! But the first wave of shot out the end of your barrel consists of No. 6 Flitestopper lead pellets which spread quickly to create a deadly close-range pattern.

Rather than pattern tightly like conventional turkey loads, 3rd Degree uses a three-stage payload of No. 5 copper-plated lead, No. 6 FLITESTOPPER lead and No. 7 HEAVYWEIGHT TSS shot to deliver more significant, more forgiving patterns at close range while still providing deadly penetration at long distance. So, the result is Federal Premium 3rd Degree Turkey Ammo and a loadout specifically designed to cover any situation a hunter might face. Its stacked combination of three different shot types and sizes results in a turkey hunter’s dream ammunition: a load that works at all ranges, from highly close to extended range, plus everything in between.

I bought these because I was told and also read that they can be reloaded, which they can. The only thing is that the metal expands and I had to get a shell resizer to reload them. With that said they didn\’t fail me with any problem like breaking apart on extraction like some cheaper shells have done.

This product is the ideal ammo for indoor shotgun usage. It is allowed at most ranges. it shoots clean, it\’s not overly powerful, It\’s very accurate, cycles well in my semiautomatic. The price is also very reasonable. Buy in quantity with free shipping and you can\’t go wrong. a complete win win situation and a lot of fun to shoot.

Used in my Mossberg shockwave. Patterned very well at across the room distance.

Remington Gun Club Target Ammunition 12 Gauge 2-3/4\” 1-1/8 oz #7-1/2 Shot GREAT AMMO WORKS IN ANY THING I HAVE,GOOD PATTERN,NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH ANY 12GA OR 20GA. OF THIS PRODUCT.

I bought these to plink with out of my 18\” 870 due to their price. I was shocked by how accuracy these puppies are. I will be stocking up when they are available again.

  6. Alan (verified owner)

When shooting a shotgun match I prefer low velocity rounds. Just enough to hit/knock down target or for slugs to punch a hole in cardboard.

  7. Ryan (verified owner)

Great shooting round with not a lot of recoil, and the hulls are great for reloading!

I recently started using these for 3gun competitions to run in my Benelli M1. So far they have all functioned flawlessly, recoil isn\’t too bad and they are pretty accurate out to 50 yards iron sights on a metric target. I will be purchasing more of these slugs.

    Will buy again.

I refitted my Remington 870 Express field gun for home defense and took it to the range today to get the new barrel sighted in. I was dreading having to shoot slugs from it, because of all the times I\’ve heard guys talk about how hard they kick, but the range doesn\’t allow buckshot. An RSO told me about \”low recoil\” shotgun slugs, so I found this product and bought 30 rounds. I shot all 30 rounds in one session, and started wishing I had bought more. These things are fun to shoot, not only because it\’s true they don\’t have much kick (though they still seem to be quite capable of mutilating their target), but also because they fly so consistently. Shooting from a rest, I got 5 or six of them to go through almost the exact same hole. I\’ll be buying more of these, and in larger quantities.

Great clay buster. Very clean and very good to reload.

  12. Owen (verified owner)

So far all practice shots at 50 yards are easy to keep on my 8\” steel target using a cylinder bore barrel on a cheap single shot 12 Ga. with only a front bead sight. Seems to be plenty powerful for deer hunting.

In my beretta 1301 competition i hit 100 yard steel targets with ease. Im very impressed. Ill use them for hunting this fall also

Unlike Frank from VA, I have shot thousands of rounds of Remington Gun Club ammo, and have never had a rim torn from an extractor. This is shooting it through a Beretta A302, Beretta A303, and 2 Benelli Super Sports. Frank, I think you need to get your extractor checked! This shell patterns well through all of my 12 gauges, with the exception of the Beretta A303 with the full choke installed. Even in that gun, it patterns ok, just not as well as it does through my others. The hull reloads exceptionally well. Arguably better than the Remington STS hull. For an inexpensive target round, Remington Gun Club is the best I\’ve found so far… and that\’s after trying just about all the widely available inexpensive ammo.

Shoots flat with less recoil than full power slugs. They are shooting good groups at 50 yards with a rear sight on the shotguns. Cycles our M2\’s.
