Are Nosler Ballistic Tip Varmint Bullets 22 Caliber Accurate?

The Nosler ballistic tip is a good bullet, but there are many better ones. I found it 22 Nosler 55gr Ballistic Tip Varmint more accurate than your Accubonds and Partitions. I have no hesitation in using a partition for a hunting bullet and have used BT for hunting in the past. Nosler’s line of Trophy Grade ammo is one of many good options well suited for those hunters. Available in virtually all popular centerfire rifle cartridges, this is Nosler’s largest and most diverse line of factory ammunition. Therefore, the partition is more suitable for shorter-range hunting situations. Buy Nosler BT Ammunition 7mm-08 Remington 140 Grain online.

What bullets does a 22-250 use?

22-250 is most often loaded with 40-grain vermin bullets. But manufacturers often load both cartridges with 55- to 60-grain shots, and the overall bullet weight range is exceptionally comparable.

Bought it for my daughter to use on deer. I will edit the review when she tags one.

  4. Dominic (verified owner)

5 Star rating for cost and reload ability. NO need to reload, very accurate, sited in in only 3 shots, went out and shot 86 woodchucks with only 5 misses.

I have my 4X Leupold dialed in at 100 yards to where I’m punching dimes out Of a paper plate consistently from a Browning Varmint rifle. This jewel of a cartridge is very accurate. The other evening, I took a coyote at over 200 yards with this cartridge and didn’t adjust elevation to compensate for the distance. Flat shooting and incredibly fast. Will certainly but more of these.

Bought 3 boxes of this ammo to mess around with, and was amazed at the level of performance to cost ratio. This round shoots great out to 250 yards. Perfect terminal performance on groundhogs, and for a Siberian ammo it is very clean, and uniform. I also admire the quality of the brass, and I am ordering more now and if they don’t shoot as good as the first batch I got, at least I’ll have some more Quality brass to reload.

  8. Alan (verified owner)

Very fast and accurate and little to no drop at 200-250 yard shots

  9. Daniel (verified owner)

I have shot approximately 200 of these rounds and, as a newbie, I am very happy with them. I would really like to know what the ballistic coefficient of the bullet is, though.

  10. Zane (verified owner)

Shot out of a Savage Axis. Proved to be very accurate. Didn’t take long to sight in a rifle. Will definitely buy again.

I gave this a 5 star rating for a few simple reasons. Cost, almost the cheapest ammo available and still good quality. Accuracy, was able to shoot sub MOA groups with this ammunition. Brass, for being a bargain brand the quality of the brass for reloading is fantastic (better than Remington or Winchester as long as you weigh them into lots). I have reloaded this brass 5 times and so far have not had any issues with brass fatigue, cracking, or brittleness. The only thing you need to keep your eye on is the primer pockets, they seem to be a bit deeper than other brands. Specifics, I fired these through my Remington 700 VTR, these bullets grouped around .8 inches, my tuned handloads usually come in about .4 inches at 100yds (using this brass with 40gr bullets). I plan to purchase more of this ammunition when my existing brass finally calls it quits.

I shot some of this in 6.5×55 match 120g hpt. I was very pleased. I ordered 10 more boxes. I purchased 10 boxes of the 22-250 55g sp and I am not really pleased. I will use it for out to 200 yds on larger varmints but I am sure not going to try beyond that on anything smaller. Somewhat inconsitent. A bit of spraying going on. Got to wondering? What the heck! So I figured I would weigh the rounds. wow. 6g dif overall. 14 – 15 rnds would be within 1g but the rest would be way off.(same with my new batch of 6.5) Shot groups today with bullets seperated into groups within 1g and got better results. The brass weighs less than Win. but more than Rem. And check the soft point. There is a lot of overlay going on. I shave it off flush. That has no effect on performance. Midway rocks!
